MARCO LIMONE

Born in Torino in 1973, he started his studied under the guide of Mauro Pappagallo, continuing with Guido Donati at “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Torino, graduating in Organ and Organ Composition in 1996. In 1997 he obtained a degree in Organ at Conservatoire National de Region in Lyon, gaining the prize “Medaglia d’Oro Strumentale” under the guide of Louis Robilliard. The following year, always in Lyon, he participates to a perfecting course, obtaining the Premier Prix. He attended masterclasses with Francis Chapelet, Jean Ferrard, Ludger Lohmann and Louis Robillard. He performed in Italy (Festival Internazionale di Aosta, Festival Internazionale di Santa Rita in Torino and also on the huge organ Tamburini in Messina), Germany, France, Poland. He worked with the Symphonic Orchestra of RAI in Turin. He recorded two monographic CDs, dedicated to organ works by Vincenzo Petrali and Filippo Capocci (Tactus Record Label).
Protagonist of shootings for RAI Tre and radio broadcasts (Pipe Dreams), with other musician of Torino he is a founding member of A.S.P.O.R. Piedmont that promotes the qualities of young organ players and of the soloists of other instruments and helps preserving precious instruments of our churches. He teaches Organ at Istituto Diocesano di Musica e Liturgia, while now he is perfecting the study of organ under the guide of the famous organ player Arturo Sacchetti for who he played many compositions for the first time.
